When the Professor becomes the Student
Over the past two weeks, I developed a six-hour workshop in the Canvas Learning Management System for two groups of distinguished faculty members. The diversity of prior experience was mixed with 50% having prior experience and 50% having no experience.
The goal of the workshop was to transition classroom based faculty to effective, engaging, online instructors that use the Canvas LMS to build effective learning communities. The integration of video into online courses is an effective way to mentor students to success, improve the perception the faculty is active and engaged in the course.
